Looking for Desipandit?

I do make typos on my blog more often than I would like to, and often I correct them within 24 hours of the posting, but it seems typos have their uses.

I was probably the first blogger to blog about Desipundit, which has filled a gap in the Indian blogosphere and given it a greater sense of community. However, in the title of that post, I called it 'Desipandit'! I see that every now and then some google searchers reach my blog looking for "Desipandit"!

Thought would share something on this account: Feeding typos into the pages is a common method adopted by many websites so that even if people type in the wrong spelling they can yet reach the desired website. I know some clients from my earlier job would register domains with wrong spellings also so as to capture "that crowd" too.

Smart one here, indeed.
